Scofield Manor

I’m writing this for my brother. Mark has been next to an out of control heater next to his bed every year for five years. Staff is crap and residents are too. Foods very small servings and low quality. Me personally I rather be dead than inhabit that crappy old place. ZERO STARS!

Small rooms with little space for personal belongings. Ordinary food. No nurses or upper staff on weekends or holidays. Resident Co-ordinator on site for three days. No outdoor trips and no buses on Sunday. Indoor activities only. Smoking allowed on property. Medical transportation, laundry, three meals and on-site meds provided.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My son is living in Scofield Manor. It is a very lovely place, including the building and the outside. It's well kept and well run. They have a lovely dining area, but the food is not always perfect. They could stand to have some art classes. The location is very remote. It's hard to get to. My son goes out, and he has to walk a great distance to catch a bus. He is allowed to go into Stamford to shop or visit. Other than that, I think it is perfect. His room is adequate, but it's for two grown men. T…

Agree with previous review. Also almost NO INTERNET, only poor unreliable WiFi, no outside trips, limited activities. Most residents sleep all day. Does allow smoking on property so beware if you have allergies or asthma. Not a friendly or happy atmosphere for workers or residents.

Bad food, indifferent staff, dirty and with old brochure. Residents move out often and many staff leave for better jobs.
