Let me just say, the place isn't fancy, my mom was in one of those fancy places and who cares, that visual nearly costs her everything! The quality of my mothers care goes way beyond visual. The care that these people give is TOP of the line, one on one, they care about your loved one and take a one on one approach. My mom has a smile on her face and that is what truly counts right? I could care less for the fancy stuff when my mom if FINALLY getting the care she needs. I don't have to worry, I know that …

Self Health Care & Rehab Center is nice and in a separate building than the nursing home. The staff is good. My mother-in-law has a private room, and the place has amenities.

The facility itself is visually nice. The care my grandmother received from the nursing staff was good - for the most part. I really liked the nurses I met. However, she did not receive a bath the 18 days she was there which we did not know about until later in the stay. My grandmother can be very difficult about bathing (typical of elderly) because she is terrified about falling but I can't believe she did not have one bath the entire stay. Self Health Care and Rehab Center is wonderful. So far we have been really happy with it. It’s centrally located between my three siblings, and it’s one of the reasons that we got it. The biggest thing was that we were able to get her into a private room. The room is nice and large, and we have her set up with the nurse, but then we have been able to put our furniture in there. She has a living room area also. The staff is absolutely great. We are very happy with the nurse that takes care of her on a daily basis, a…

This is an excellent facility. Staff are very accommidating . My ONLY complaint is the food. My mom is on a no salt/no sugar diet. Dietary had a VERY hard time sticking to this. It got to the point where she refused to eat anything because they could not tell her if had salt in it (processed or can). I feel like if you cook it...you should know what's in it. Hopefully they will be able to fix the dietary problems. I would definitely recommend this facility.
