I would prefer I got a list of his activities. Every time I arrive the activity sheet says something exciting but the are hitting a balloon with pool noodles. Its never anything else

Both of my parents were at Shavano Park Senior Living for three months. The food was horrible, and my dad refused to eat. My mom would eat, and then she stopped eating too, and she would also say the food is crap. Unless I told them to do things, things didn't get done. They're supposed to clean the room, and it wasn't getting done. I had to put cameras in the room because they were supposed to check on my parents every hour. They did not do that. Seems like a nice place, it’s been a long road to reach this decision to place a loved one in memory care But hopefully it is the right decision

An excellent home for Mom

Perhaps having a physician visit my mother on occasion rather than the Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner is great.

I would recommend Shavano Park Memory Care. The Memory care director, [name removed], and lead med tech, [name removed], are amazing. They kept great communication with me and I always felt welcome to visit at any time. My mother was treated with love, patience, and respect. She was taken on frequent outings, and I was sent videos and photos of her having a great time. The corporate part could be improved. Watch the charges-there were a couple of mistakes which I caught. Compassionate and Excellent Care

The staff of the Memory Care Unit was very understanding about the complexities of my wife’s condition. They were highly knowledgeable and professional. I am very grateful for the individualized attention that she received from everyone at the facility. This is an outstanding organization which is staffed by outstanding people.
