My mom was at this facility. It was almost impossible to get anyone to answer the call button and sometimes they would just turn it off and say they would be right back. The care was non existent, no compassion, one hid in the corner of her room so she didn’t have to work. Always complaining of being short staffed. The food was brought in and put on the tray and oftentimes not put in front of the patient or the patient not put in a sitting position to eat. The rooms were pleasant--lots of natural light. The staff was kind and patient. Food was fine. Particularly impressed by the therapy staff. When I was admitted I couldn't walk or even stand. It took a while but with their help, support, patience and kindness I got to the point where I could function, seated to standing and walking (with a walker). My mother needed a place to recover after a hospital stay and was moved to Sherwood. First, I was pleasantly surprised at the beauty and cleanliness of the facility. I think they have undergone renovation and the rooms are beautiful. The staff is so kind, attentive, and patient with my mom who has dementia. The food was surprisingly good. It seemed homemade instead of the typical awful hospital food. I was also impressed when my mom refused to take her meds and the staff thought of creative ways to get her to take …

I was welcomed as soon as I walked through the doors, smiling faces and positive energy all around. The staff was absolutely incredible. The few questions I had they had the answers to them. Felt as if they offered so many amenities for my loved one and I could also see that the residence there enjoyed the facility as well. highly recommend just visiting the facility, if you don’t like the facility then it’s one more you can cross off your list, but I know you will enjoy this facility! Worth the visit!!
