Facility is really old not in the greatest shape but is clean upper management is very poor but most of the workers are great. There is not a whole lot of activities for the residents either .

My father was in Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I think they took pretty good care of my father. I was well pleased. It was a good-sized facility. They had two large areas for the people to congregate, and they had staff that really watched over him. My father tried to get out of the facility and they had people on each shift that guarded these doors and made sure that nobody got out and he never got out. He was trying to get out five or six times a day and it never happened. He has dementia and even …

Southgate nursing home in Metropolis Illinois is one of the friendliest and cleanest facilities I have ever visited. My grandmother is currently a resident there and I go there to visit her every now and then, and when I do it is always a pleasure to see the smiling faces on the nurses there as they greet me when I walk through the doors.
