CriticalI was there for 1 whole month this year {Sept/Oct}. I would NEVER EVER go back there. Beside that the food was not good, the staff ignored your request to be cleaned up when you needed to be. They all used the same excuse stating "I will be right back" and left your room and never came back. One time I went through the same thing with 4 different staffs, who never came back, until this male staff who was hired from another agency, who walked into my room and said "Hi, my name is B. and I will do it&q…

PositiveThe staff was amazing. My husbands nurse was right on his meds. We had a problem with Duke not sending over new meds but the PA had that straightened out in one afternoon. We were hoping for a little better physical therapy but it seems that has changed in the last 1.5 years he was here before. The social worker was fantastic. She kept me in the loop the whole time he was there. I do not think anyone should judge the food. It was usually bad but every facility is like that. The facility was clean and his room was k…

CriticalMy dad stayed at Southpoint Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for three weeks. It was not that great. You have to get up to go for your appointment. The physical therapy staff did okay. But the immediate staff, as far as helping and taking care of stuff, didn't do anything. They were always arguing with each other and were loud. The food was pretty good. They have an outdoor patio where they can sit out front. They had an excellent rehab program, but beyond that, it wasn't all that great. I saw them in…

CriticalMy mother received the absolute worst care. When I think about her stay I still feel sick. The staff could care less, are lazy, rude, and mean. The food is garbage. My mother lost 10 lbs during her stay. Personal care is non-existent. Social worker made mistake after mistake and meetings never happened. Director could absolutely care less. We went in to bath her, we brought her food, changed her soaking wet diaper every day, and basically provided all the care she was supposed to get from the staff who didn’t care!…

CriticalI checked into Southpoint Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center directly from discharge at UNC hospital. The place was selected by family based on a high rating compared to other available facilities with open beds. My review will be limited to the residence facility and not the PT staff. Why? because I checked myself out after a few hours. The place shabby, and the promises o clean comfortable, caring are fraudulent. I was checked in by a staff member” filling” for someone. Introduced to a nurse who was not in good…

CriticalFood not eatable. Staff non responsive. Urine left for 12 hours once, not the only time it was left standing. My room was never in 15 days truly clean. The only food I had was brought by my husband. They couldn’t or wouldn’t prepare healthy meals, I’m a diabetic and a vegetarian never was I presented anything I would eat. It was an absolutely horrible 15 day experience.
