My brother-in-law was at St. Francis Home for a week. It's a great facility, but it would be nice if they had more help. The facility is great. It has been around for a long time. They have respite care of course. The part where my brother-in-law was at was very short-staffed and some people needed a little bit more care than they're getting. St Francis is the best nursing home in Fond du Lac! We toured many area nursing homes before deciding on St Francis, which was our first and only choice for our elderly mother. She was a resident of St Francis Home for 6 weeks in the medical rehab unit (following a serious hospitalization) and again later for 18 months, before passing on. I was absolutely disappointed with how they treated my grandmother. She was not showered for days on end, she was not brought down to meals on time, and they left her in the same outfit for quite a few days. She would have stains all over her and nobody had bothered to even clean her up.
