I visited Summercrest in Newport. I was able to see that it was very nice and there were newer apartments, but because of the coronavirus I was not able to see all the areas of it. The only person I saw, I don't know if she was the director, but she's the one who showed me the rooms. I wasn't able to see anybody else because of the coronavirus, and people were out and about at that time, so I could not go into all the areas. Great Community

They do a great job there. It was the best place for my loved one. The activities were a great fun for my loved one. The exercise class is an activity my loved one that she loved. This allowed her to be brought back to life with this community love.

I visited Summercrest Senior Living. It’s a relatively new facility, and we obviously got a good impression. The residents that we saw seemed to be active, engaged, and happy. There were sufficient activities based on the calendar of activities, and the meals appeared to be well-balanced, and there's a big meal at lunchtime rather than a big dinner in the evening. When I first visited this building, everyone seemed friendly and caring. After I visited several times, I found that the staff (some, not all) was short-tempered and not nice to some of the patients. My friend is no longer there. I am certain that if they do not get a positive review, this will never see the light of day~~~but at least I tried.

I am sure it was nice at one time, but not now. Sad to say that it may look beautiful, but that is about it. The kitchen and housekeeping staff seems nice enough------but the nursing care is bad. When they don't THINK anyone is listening, they will complain about residents that require more help, and say "they don't belong here". It is very hurtful. [Removed] was an excellent tour guide. The facility was very clean, bright and cheery. All of the residents who I saw seemed very happy. The units are small but perfect for one person. There are lots of activities going on. I was impressed.
