CriticalWe have not had a great experience at this facility. After a year we were told there would be over an 8 percent increase which is way more than the 3-4 percent we were led to believe it would be. There has been a large turnover in staff to include the executive director as well as the clinical director. Emails to the new directors is not returned and when you call you are told they are in meetings. There has been issues with my family member not receiving meds and meds not being ordered in a timely manner. There ar…

CriticalWhen mom first got there she was not happy with the staff and my brother and I were having a hard time speaking with them or anything changing. A lot of the residents including mom thinks the food is horrible. Sometimes they only get a sandwich for dinner. The staff has changed over often since mom's been there and they promise better but it's slow coming. Prices going up services going down.

CriticalThe staff working with my mother was caring however they did not seem to have the experience of communicating with family members the concerns with my mother. Food was great. Cost was great. Facility was new and always clean. My mother didn't get her medication as needed. She had a stroke which made me aware that she was not taking the blood thinners. I have medical questions that still have not been resolved. She is living at an older facility in Monroe which has a very antique facility but the care for her is phy…

CriticalThe facility is very clean and well kept and the front desk and nurses / care givers are very kind. However, we often felt like we were being dismissed when we had questions or concerns. Our father was in memory care and was given the wrong dosage or medication that could have caused his breathing to stop. The doctor was requested to be removed from his care by his family. He often became agitated so he was heavily medicated and slept a lot which was concerning since he did not eat or drink properly due to this. We…

PositiveMy father has been at Sunflower Springs Lake Wylie since they opened a little over a year ago. Its a new clean facility with good lighting and bright colors. I think this along with numerous scheduled activities makes a big difference in keeping the residents spirits high. I always see the management team jumping in and helping out with all facets of the daily work load. This is my Dads third facility in 4 years and by far the best.
