PositiveStaff are very caring, gentle, really get to know residents(though the facility is understaffed especially at night and weekends, which just seems to be industry standard. Their staffing levels are better than competitors though; I know people who work in the field). Facility is clean and they work hard to keep it so. Med techs are excellent. Food is decent but not great (my mom didn't really like it but that's one account). Kitchen staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to provide for residents outsid…

PositiveThe rooms are very nice and it is a very nice entrance way when you walk in it's beautiful, clean, well kept...lovely. Because my grandmother is not needing a lot of care it's hard for me to tell you what it would be like if she needed transfer help, bathroom help, feeding help, etc. if she needed other help but right now she's pretty independent. The one thing I will have to say is when she was coming from rehab to Sunrise of Raleigh I wasn't really pleased on the communication regarding the cost of the facility. …

PositiveI was given a brief tour of Sunrise of Raleigh after an extensive tour of [community removed]. The living facilities were similar in scope. Here, I was impressed with the warm atmosphere of the facility and greetings from the staff and residents. The rooms were to my liking and satisfaction; especially those in the disabilities unit. I certainly would consider placing my loved one here.

CriticalI appreciated the initial recommendations but when my father's care level increased, I was told it was out of the scope of what APFM did which was disappointing. It turned out one of your recommendations COULD accept him in his condition, but we just happened to find out about that when the facility called us to let us know about an opening (this had nothing to do directly with APFM when the facility contacted me). I also wish that your reps had gotten back to me quicker. I called twice and both times had to wait s…
★★★★★
PositiveNot enough staff in my opinion in the memory care unit. Room cleanliness was an issue. Some staff not thoroughly trained. They do have a hoyer lift which was the main reason we chose them over others.
★★★★★
CriticalThey are understaffed, and the care givers are untrained and not properly supervised. They posted a schedule both for care and activities that were rarely adhered to. The facility became unsafe for mom to stay there.
