Carolina Inn was fine until it wasn't. The building, staff and amenities were nice, but you got the sense that their target demographic was more of a retirement facility than an assisted living facility. My father had vascular dementia, but had his facilities well enough that he was accepted there. A short time after, he developed a UTI and his cognition and demeanor went off the rails. He was deemed to need a memory care facility, which they don't have, so we had to move him again after only a month or so at the …

Each floor has a nurse working both days and nights. There is a therapy program for all who need it both physical therapy and occupational therapy. The nursing staff are led by a professional nurse. We have transportation for all appointments. If a resident prefers, meals can be delivered to their room. This place is really expensive but it's worth it.

My dad is finally happy and getting the care and attention he needed and also deserves. Definitely recommend this facility. Great staff, food, activities and happy hour. I sleep good at night knowing my father is getting taking care of.
