PositiveCottages is a great place for relatively sedentary residents. The staff are kind & caring, the food seems well planned & tasty, the rooms are nicely sized & well maintained, there are activities available and a lovely garden & courtyard, and residents seem happy. However, there are no gym facilities or equipment available for more active residents, and there is no offsite transportation available so no outings or getting to offsite care provided.

CriticalMy mother is currently in this facility, and I am extremely concerned about the lack of transparency and the way communication is handled. I have been denied visitation based on information that is not true, and I have not been given any clear or legitimate reason for being kept away from her. As a result, my mother has gone long periods without any family contact, and no one is able to see her or verify her condition. The staff communication is dismissive and inconsistent, and attempts to advocate for my mother a…

PositiveThe staff is friendly & professional. The room size was adequate for our needs. TVs w/ cable are included in all the rooms & there is an option for rooms with or without bathrooms included. Food was prepared fresh for each meal by the in-house cook & looked good with a good amount of variety. My dad received excellent care & the facility director is an absolute saint. Helpful & patient every step of the way. They keep the place clean & stay on top of laundry & bathing. Offer a number of activities (although my fath…

PositiveStaff is friendly & caring & notifies me of any issues & responds to my concerns promptly. No charge for bringing food to resident's room (some facilities charge $[amount removed] per meal). Small # of residents (16) per bldg with 3 total bldgs (2 assisted living, 1 memory care). No unpredictable levels of care charges - fee only increases if resident moves to memory care. Nutritious food in proper portions. Family & friends events like fiesta celebrations. Lovely grounds & courtyards and raised bed gardening…

PositiveMy questions might be: Capabilities of the staff are they trained to perform a service that is particular to that person. My wife has an ileostomy and they had the training to maintain and replace it. Where the medications given on time and correctly administered. In our case they even contacted the Dr. while I was traveling to get one of her meds refilled. Where they able to accommodate special dietary needs. We don’t have any but some may have food allergies or they are Vegan.
★★★★★
PositiveFriendly staff, nice facilities, all inclusive and the ability to contact and monitor the daily routines.
