The people were extremely nice; however, there was not one person I could text or call to find out how my sister was doing. Part of this was because they were understaffed; the other was that they assumed clients would have their own cell phone, which [name removed] does not (overwhelms her). She has aphasia which means she cannot read, write, or speak in complete sentences. The Current is not set up for people who don't have their own cell phone or can't read the activity calendar. The Current is a gorgeous assisted living / memory care community. Approaching the entrance I could see residents and staff doing activities on the patio. The receptionist was very welcoming and I enjoyed the tour hosted by [name removed]. [name removed] was very knowledgeable about the property and the business of senior housing. This property has a work out room and trainer - an impressive resource for healthy aging.

My husband and I met with a representative at the Current and viewed several furnished apartments. We saw different areas including the deck, the dining area, and various common areas for games and relaxation. The rep talked about the cleaning teams for the rooms and laundry and the various other services that can be provided as needed. This was my 2nd visit with [Name Removed] and I brought a friend to look specially at certain units. We were greeted warmly at the front desk with a sign and a lovely box of cookies with a big St Patrick's bow. I now have a better understanding of how things work and love that the location is so close to the main streets in Beverly.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Would recommend

Quality of care is excellent. Room sizes vary. My sister's room is large. Others are smaller. Activities are fair. They have a guitar player come in several times a week and the staff also keeps them involved in games.
