The Gables of Ojai is a very homey place. You can see that it's quite lived in. It's been around for a while, but their facilities are very accommodating. They're also very expensive. That's why I couldn't do it out there. They don't have any real independent places. They're almost all the same in terms of space. The staff was excellent. It was very well-kept and clean.

The Gables of Ojai is a very, very nice community. It's beautiful. The staff is lovely. The rooms are nice, but the community is on the smaller size and that's why we did not go there. Nevertheless, it's almost like a house. They probably have maybe 20 rooms at the most. But it's very intimate, and it feels very, warm. It feels like a house. My father-in-law was up in The Gables of Ojai for almost seven years. He was in a one-bedroom, one-bath unit. It's an older facility, and their care went from a five down to a three, in which they didn't have a nurse anymore to check on things with the residents. It was very expensive. The staff is very good, they're awesome. It's just that their facility is a little bit old. The food was so-so at the end there. A lot of people were complaining about it.
