The facility looked very clean and nice with lots of activities. Unfortunately there were no spaces available in Memory care.

The Lexington Assisted Living was conveniently located. It also offered the CalAIM program, which was important. I love the facility. It seemed like a good fit for my cousin. The coordinator was the number 1 reason, and the layout of the place. The thing I liked least was that some of the shared rooms were rather small, but that's about it. Review for The Lexington Assisted Living

My advice to someone considering this community is: There needs to be more room for memory care residents to walk around.

My husband uses an electric wheelchair. The rooms' doors are narrow. There are no rooms on the first floor. In an emergency the elevators could only accommodate two wheelchairs at a time. We won't have him come to The Lexington.

Our family's experience

The room is large, recently renovated, clean, quiet. The activities are good, food is great. The only real issue I have is that I feel they are understaffed, especially in memory care. Only one person on duty at any given time. That means if one resident needs special assistance lasting more than a few minutes then everyone else is ignored. My husband has dementia and falls. The Lexington staff had a great intake but felll short on care. My husband was initially able to use the toilet with assistance, but had no way to call for help. He was given an alert beeper but it was useless. No one would check on him regularly because there are not enough staff for the amount of need in the locked wing of the facility.
