I went to The Magnolia last week just to do a walk-through. The staff members were very accommodating. They offer a memory care unit, which is specifically what I'm looking for for my dad, who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's, so that part of it was great. There was nothing extraordinary about the place. It did not seem to be very lively. It didn't have what I was looking for as far as the care I would want for my dad. The staff members were very good. I toured The Magnolia. I liked the lady that showed me the facility. She was so nice and she was the person in charge of that. I like the fact that when I went in there they did have a COVID incident, but when I went in, I was hand-sanitized, I wore shoes and I was masked. And they were very conscientious. I have a relative that lives in the memory unit the place is bad. The food they serve is cold and usually not cooked enough. The place stinks and a patient soiled herself very badly so instead of a shower the staff washed her off and put her back to bed what a shame.

The Magnolia is the only facility in our town that accept dementia patients. I am not satisfied with my father's care and comfort there. I wish I was able to make other arrangements. I was there one day at dinner time and the food that they had served them was almost raw meat. I complained to the caregivers there.
