Excellent experience in most respects - welcome process and extra attention getting settled, food and dining services, regular entertainment and activities, well maintained facilities. A couple issues related to mom's medication management were disappointing, but the staff promptly addressed the situation. I'm confident The Manor is a good fit for mom.

It is a lovely facility with nice amenities, especially the theater. One has more than enough choices of activities in which to participate. The quality of food had gone down hill since I moved here. We do have monthly meetings with the chef to express our concerns. He is slow to respond but the residents keep after him. Sadly the cottage I moved into had a water drainage problem in the back that wasn't disclosed. I can't use my backyard or patio. I've been on them for a year to address the problem. I've finally b…

I will move into The Manor Benton. The cottages were a lot nicer than the other places I looked. They had a bathtub. That's the only place that had a bathtub. They include three meals a day. All the appliances are there: a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. It's wonderful. I'm looking forward to it. The person who took me around was good. There have been several employee firings that upset many residents. Our manager isn't the friendliest person. I don't think she listens to residents' concerns. But, the leasing agent was wonderful?? There seems to be a lot of turnover in the dining and housekeeping staff. Our main building is beautiful. It even has a fifty seat theater!It is where independent residents go for their meals, dining with those in assisted living.
