PositiveI toured The Meadows Independent & Assisted Living Community. It was good, and the food was good. The tour person was excellent at explaining everything. I still felt I had to give up a lot of independence living there. You have to go down the hall to use their community laundry. It's going down there, and it's at the other end of the building where your room is. They have three meals a day.

They're a family-owned facility and not corporate-owned, and they allow smoking on the property, which is really important to my dad. CriticalMy father was at The Meadows Independent & Assisted Living Community. I felt like they provided a level of balanced independent living that I would have expected. The staff was caring and engaged. Dad's room was wholly adequate, but it could probably have used some updating. Overall, it provided exactly what he needed. PositiveMy loved one is staying here until a cottage opens up at one of the two facilities she is on the wait list for. Overall the experience has been pretty good. She is in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment that is pretty good size. She did say that the food is not the best. The maintenance guy here has been extremely helpful, he is really good.
