PositiveMy wife was in the memory care wing of The Oaks at Nipomo. I was satisfied enough in the sense that it never occurred to me to find a different place, but I think it's just a hard thing to find where your loved one gets the full attention that they should have. She had Alzheimer's and was unable to carry on a conversation with other occupants. She would often just walk the halls by herself. She actually fell a time or two, and they took her to the hospital because she hit her head. She could not participa…

PositiveThe Oaks at Nipomo was wonderful. It was perfect. It was beautiful. However, it's a budget problem. There was a Veterans Day celebration. My husband is a veteran, and we were included in the festivities. The snack man was delivering snacks, so we got snacks. We were impressed that the staff members were available to anyone who needed them. There was staff on the passageways ready to help the people. The place was very clean. They had lots of activities going on. The residents were just very, very happy. They w…

CriticalMemory care unit & dad's room had bad smell more often than not. Dad was messy, but staff should have kept the place and room cleaner. . Good. Liked the fact that a Spanish speaking caregiver would sometimes converse with him in Spanish even though he was bilingual. Rest of staff were cordial & friendly. pretty good except his last month when he had too many falls. Good. Responsive (with occasional reminders). Typical institutional food. Dad ate pretty well, but when I visited, we'd go out for lunch or dinner. Like…

PositiveToured Oaks at Nipomo. Modern clean facility. Everybody has been very nice. [name removed] is very helpful making the process of admitting our loved one into care.. I hope that the process continues to be pleasant as I admit my loved one into their care. At this time.

PositiveMy Father is happy there. The staff care for him and love him like he is family. I am assured he is cared for and safe. The therapists on staff provide services to him when it is needed. Staff let me know when something goes wrong. I am welcome to visit and enjoy meals with my Father regularly. It is a lovely facility and has beautiful outdoor patios and gardens. They hold nice music events outside periodically that Dad and I have enjoyed.
