It's been almost two months since I've been to The Opal at Lakes Park because they still had the Christmas tree up, and they were still having people come in to sing for them and provide entertainment. What I noticed is that there were several residents out in the halls communicating with one another and having conversations. Since this facility was purchased by Opal it has gone downhill...way downhill. The staff leaves much to be desired. I visited on day and the person in charge was the transportation person. But here's the bottom line.... My step-daughter fell on the morning of Nov6th and hurt her head...she refused to go to the hospital...She did not go to lunch. Did anyone check on her from 11:45 to 1:50? when i got there and found her unconscious on the bathroom floor. She never woke up and passed a week later. This facility …

Everyone is very welcoming and lovely. The atmosphere walking in is homelike. There were people watching a movie and the smell of popcorn was in the air when I first visited. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The courtyard is full of greenery and there are beautiful plants all over the patio.

When we needed an assisted living facility for my dad after a stroke, the Opal at Lakes Park came highly recommended, and I’m so glad we chose it! The management and staff were genuinely concerned about my dad, and I never found that he was neglected or needed care. My dad was able to make friends and participate in activities, and it was great to see him enjoying life at the Opal.
