I like The Peaks At Santa Rita because I have a few friends that live there already, and they've said great things about it. I had 100% planned to move into The Peaks because I can get a lovely two-bedroom, two-bath apartment for under $3,000 a month. They don't have quite as many services. They provide one meal daily, but you can contract your own housekeeping and that sort of thing, and it's still much less expensive than the other full-service facilities. They're very accommodating. We lived in The Peaks at Santa Rita for two years. It was very, very good. Last year, they started an improvement process on it, like painting it. The thing was that they had let it run down quite a bit when we were there for the two years, and they found out that they were losing a lot of people there. So, that's when they started upgrading different facilities. They were working in the dining room, the main hall, and so forth. My sister-in-law is a resident of The Peaks at Santa Rita. They recently sold it and there's new management. They're not quite as friendly as their old management. They don't do the maintenance like they should. I have not met most of their staff. I have met one woman and she seemed okay, not as nice as the ones we first met when we moved her in there. They don't have dinner. It's just breakfast and lunch. So if you want dinner, you have to grab something extra like at lunchtime, take it up…

I'm at The Peaks at Santa Rita. They have about five different apartment layouts, and they're all good. They have an exercise room, a theater, a library, a pool room, a bar, and a dining room. The apartment is beautiful and big. I have a 1-bedroom, and it's big enough for two people. I'm the only one living here, and it's definitely big enough for one person and two cats. They provide everything. They always have it decorated for whatever holidays are coming up. Right now, it's Easter.…

I have friends living at The Peaks at Santa Rita. The facilities are clean and well-kept. The staff is very courteous to everyone. A couple of meals that I've taken there are pretty good. The rooms seemed adequate. They're apartment size or smaller. One of the things I don't like about it is it's multilevel and my walking is kind of restricted, especially stairs. I've seen groups doing Bridge and other table games. There's a quiet area like a reading room.

Have researched most independent residential facilities in the Tucson to Tubac area The Peaks ranks the best by far when comparing cost, quality, food and concern. Have been invited numerous times by resident friends for meals and events. Never had an unacceptable meal and the staff has always treated me with respect and concern My only concern is the food being so much to my liking that it would add too much to my girth. Currently on the list for residency
