CriticalDo not recommend
Admin staff is nonexistent. No communication. I have hired outside staff to care for my parents. They have had several complaints and have closed 3 cases with the ombudsman. Do not recommend.

PositiveThe temperature upon entry was WARM, older people need that. The dining room serves 3 times a day and there were people in there, lively, the hallways were brightly lit, the tour of the memory care unit was brightly lit and folks were listening to MUSIC not stacked in front of CNN or a ball game or tv show. Overall better place than any I have toured.

Criticalchange in management
I actually took my dad out of there after 3 days. Management was incredibly disorganized to the point that my dad received no care during his first three days. None of his medical stuff was set up so nursing staff weren't able to hold his medication and no one explained to him how anything worked so my dad didn't know how to ask for help or even when meals were etc. Other people seemed happy and the room was nice. Just couldn't keep him there in good conscience

PositiveImpressive structure, roomy, many functional activity rooms - library, theater conference, area for puzzles or games. lacks in crafts and arts-limited activities and outside trips for wheelchair users. Cocktail hour and open door policy on alcohol-inconsistent with alcohol rehab, rather it supports and encourages use.

PositiveThe staff was very helpful and respectful to me and the residents saw. It is well kept and has a good veriety of units that can be very helpful as my wife needs increase. They were my second choice only because of location of the one selected.

They are short of staff, 1 person to help a wing of 16 people, sometimes they have to assist another wing too. Meals are set a time and very limited. Can't get a soda or anything if not wanted during their set times. If you have dietary problems your out of luck no exceptions on meals. Craft times are good and [name removed] is great. Single apartment is nice but not wheelchair friendly. Meds are a problem sometimes can be days to get refill on needed timing.
