Very poor sanitary care

My mom lived in the Ponds area of the Waters at Mayowood of Rochester. She did like her neighbors and enjoyed the activities. However, their sanitary care was very poor. Over the course of a month, they continuously used Depends and a thick pad at the same time. Early in the month, the nurse agreed this was unsanitary and responded to email that all of staff would be receiving training and then would need to sign off on sanitary care. Don’t bother

Don’t bother even thinking about moving here. The management only care about making a buck. The building was built cheaply. If something breaks down, maintenance won’t be contacted until the next business day (at the earliest). Any repairs that need to be completed will only be done by their staff from the twin cities, no matter how urgent the repair is. I toured The Waters on Mayowood and thought it was beautiful. It really seemed like a nice place, but it was also the most expensive of the communities I looked at. I opted for a community that was a little more practical for me.

Dad is happy hee

I'm so glad we chose this community for dad. He is settling right in. The ratio of staff to the residents are phenomenally GOOD!! The caregivers are so calm and friendly with my dad they take extra time to get him engaged in the activities. Like model car racing and actually flower arranging he enjoyed that. The food is great and plentiful so he not looking for more throughout the day. Its kept clean inside and well maintained on the grounds. I would recommend this community.

This community looked nice when I visited. They seemed to offer a lot of activities. The staff in the memory care seemed nice. This community does offer transfer assistance. This community was just a little more expensive than what we were looking for.
