We chose Thornapple Manor for my grandfather because this is a nursing facility with memory care. They are an Eden community which means that the staff is specially trained to care for the elderly. It's like an additional certificate that they have. They include the family, they care for him in a specific memory care facility so that they have activities like bingo, games, music therapy, and art therapy. And they try to include families in those activities as well. They have an exercise facility that he can us…

Thornapple Manor's rehab was really good. I would recommend them to anybody who doesn't have home support. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful, and they tried to be accommodating. They allowed my mom to stay with my dad until she had an asthma attack. They said it wouldnt work if they have to take care of her too. She didn't stay after that, but it was still very helpful.
