Great place for Mom

The Twin Oaks team is wonderful! Lori is such a caring Director and [name removed] works diligently, wearing several hats to keep the residents happy! They are truly a family and for the almost 4 yrs Mom was there they provided her with a safe and loving environment when her children couldn’t be there! I highly recommend Twin Oaks for anyone who has a loved one who wants to maintain their independence but needs someone around. The activities and outside individuals who came in to support the team with activities w…

Great Place to Live

It's very welcoming. There are a lot of friendly people, even for somebody who is moving from far away. There are a lot of activities, and the apartments are very nice. I like the layout and the fact that she has a full kitchen even if she doesn't use it. The bedroom is large, and they were willing to work with me on the location in the facility so she would have a view that would make her happy. They do what they say they'll do. My mom loves it here. Her only complaint is she says it Midwest food, with not enough…

Critical

Over extended, over worked

This was originally a decent place fo my loved one. Now it is nearly at capacity and there is not enough staff to take care of the residents. The turnover rate in the staff is extremely high. Several staff members have indicated that they enjoyed working at Twin Oaks, but cannot afford to, because they don't get enough hours and therefore they get no benefits. They supposedly address any dietary needs, but their meals cannot be called diabetic friendly at all. They allow for substitutions if the meal being served h…

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom is in Twin Oaks. I am very happy with it. The staff is nice, the food is good, and they keep the apartments very clean. My mother is happy there. She is in the retirement community, but they have three facilities: assisted living, retirement homes, and nursing home with rapid recovery center.

They have been excellent, they have been wonderful, I give them a five plus.

They have been excellent, they have been wonderful, I give them a five plus. From lori to her staff, even the residents everybody has been so welcoming, they welcomed her with open arms just like a family. They are quick to respond. They do light houskeeping once a week. When I go to visit her, things are dusted and they vacuum and they check on her. They always have activities, and they invite her to join. They are very informative, they let me know what's going on. She loves the food. Parking is great, everything…
