Unique Care indeed

5 on all. Nice neighborhood. Friendly, responsive, thoughtful owner and staff. Show they truly care about the residents. Bright and cheery in home. Not only was I impressed with the years of experience of the owner and other staff, but also how helpful and friendly they all were to make our mom's move-in transition as smooth as possible.

Wonderful individualized care.

The three caregivers know my dad so well that they advocate for him even though I’m there twice a week. They adapt meals to his individual taste not just his medical needs. He loved watching hiking videos on his smallish TV and went out and bought a huge TV for his room because they knew he would enjoy it more. I have seen them with the other residents who have dementia and they are always sweet and kind. We could not be happier with his care, and we have a joke that we have reservations with them for when the t…

Great care, great owners

I could not be happier. There are just 5 residents. They know my dad and his needs, and notice even slight changes or needs. In bigger facilities, we were charged for help with shaving, or me asking them to rub lotion into his dry skin. Here, they do what is needed. No extra charge. Although they don't do regular "activities" they know that my dad was an avid fisherman. They are arranging a fishing trip for him where he can go to a local lake. They will push his wheelchair out onto a dock and let him fish! Wow! M…

Perfect solution!

My dad was in a larger facility in Oregon. Although there were more people there at that facility, that was part of the problem. No one saw him steadily enough to see some of the signs of things happening. In a residential care where he is now, At Unique family care he has the same caregivers 24 hours a day. They know him intimately. He knows them better than he knew anyone at the previous facility. I can see that he is getting better care. The perfect example is when he was helped in the bathroom, As he was on th…

A positive experience

Finding this care home has been the best thing for my mom. The owners could not be more kind or caring. For my mom, the added bonus of having children in the home has been such a blessing. [name removed] was so helpful to me in my search, and she hit it out of the park with this recommendation. I tell everyone involved with looking for care to contact your service. Thanks from my whole family!

How about A Home for Dad

I went over this with my sister, we would give them all 5 stars but maybe a 4 for activities, but that may have been a function of Covid and willingness of clients. [name removed] and [name removed] treated dad like family, and they did a great job communicating with us and making us feel welcome too. Staff was consistent, not much turn over, and they all took good care of him. We have and would recommend them!
