CriticalLet a dementia medication run out
Overall, this place is great. It’s a large facility with lots to do. The rooms are a good size and the price is much more affordable than most similar places. During the tour we were told multiple times that it’s very rare for them to have to have someone with dementia move out - that they were equipped to care for them. So we moved my mom into assisted living in which they were only managing her meds - otherwise, she was independent. Less than 3 months in, they let one of her key dementia medications run out. She …

Van Mall Retirement was very nice inside and very clean. We just popped in to ask about it, and they said, "We can give you a tour right now," and so she did. My sister loves it. The gal was very helpful. We asked a bunch of questions, and she gave us things to look up to help, maybe with financial help, and just different things that they mentioned.
