PositiveMy sister was at the Ventura Grand Chateau for about a year. She got excellent care there. They were willing to adjust to her needs and provide everything that she needed. The staff was excellent. There were a few single rooms, but mostly shared dorm-style rooms. Some rooms were more on a memory care level, others were a higher assisted living level. They had limited activities and limited amenities. They've got a nice outdoor grass area, but there are no gyms, no pools, nothing like that. They don't have…

PositiveMy husband was here for two months before his passing. The staff was competent and caring, taking time with whoever needed the time. The rooms were neat and clean. There was never the smell of urine or “old age” ever. My husband seemed content and did not complain at being there. Many of the guests were ambulatory and roamed the grounds, smiled, and struck up conversations when I came to visit. The food looked tasty at lunch when I visited. I would highly recommend the Ventura Grand Chateau to families needing thei…

CriticalVentura Grand Chateau was very small. The facilities were very minimal. People were sitting around with nothing much to do, although they showed me their activity list. I was not impressed with the rooms. It's like an older home that has been fixed up. It was very plain and not appealing. The person who showed me around was alright, but she wasn't into making a sale. The place was what really put me off, as well as the people just sitting around locked in their small area. The dining room was not appealin…

PositiveMy husband is at the Mound Guest Home. They help him with meals, bathing, and dressing. They seem to be doing a good job, the staff is excellent, and my husband thinks the food is excellent. However, some of the decor needs updating.

PositiveWe were very happy with our experience at Mound Guest home it was just great. This community was a very clean and nice looking place and the staff was just wonderful. They helped us out with everything and made the process nice and smooth. My husband loved the food there he never said anything about the food so I'm guessing it was nice. I would recommend this community , I'll tell anybody thinking of moving here to go ahead and go for it you'll love it.

PositiveMound Guest Home is a small assisted living facility set in a converted Victorian Home. Being set in an old Victorian house gives this assited living facility a comforting home-like feeling. The staff is exceptionally friendly and they treat patients with care and respect. Mound doesn't feel like a hospital; it feels like a home. Patients can enjoy quiet time in their room, go for a walk in the pretty garden, grab a snack from the staffed kitchen or sit in the living area and watch some television. Nightly sta…
