Wellington At Hershey's Mill

It was lovely and affected many fine amenities. However it just haven’t the right feel for me at this time.

Very nice facilities. Good location for me. Apartments just okay but better than some other facilities.

I agree with the comments about poor food quality, long wait for food, poor quality housekeeping /laundry service for personal care. High turnover with the aids who give mediocre care. The aids just seem to clock in and clock out. Very little compassion by the caretakers. Very slow response time to personal care call buttons (10-30 min). Management listens, make immediate improvements but then staff reverts to poor care again.

The Wellington needs to do better. Their sales pitch sounds wonderful and promises the world, but don't produce. They had a flood in the main eating and sitting area back in the summer. The renovations still have not been completed. The food has definitely declined. Management is a joke. Their response to everything is "They are Independent." Re the assisted living facility: The food is good enough, the food service is terrible. Dispensing of medication is generally accurate but not always. The call button on the pendant is always answered, but sometimes with a long delay (like, half an hour). The advertised weekly bed change happens usually but not always. Nursing station is unnecessarily noisy in the late evening. Residents generally say this place is better than most assisted-living places.

I visited this facility

I visited the independent living community of Wellington at Hershey's Mill in West Chester. The facilities are very nice and very clean. It's also spacious, so physically it's a nice facility. The one thing that I will say about it is that it is very large, so the hallways are very long, and many of the rooms are very far from the elevators.
