CriticalNot happy
Unfortunately my mother passed away after being there for about 6 months. I was not happy how things turned out for my mom there. If it wasn't for one of my brothers stopping there several times a week. We would not have been aware of several health issues that came up.

My father-in-law is on a waiting list at Wellington Place of Whiting. We just got a much better feeling during the tour there than we did from any of the other places that we visited. The place seemed very clean and comfortable. The layout seemed convenient because it's all on one level. It was not a huge place, so we thought he would receive more personalized care. The staff was very friendly, outgoing, and seemed very knowledgeable.

My father moved into Wellington Place of Whiting. It's a smaller community and it has a very homey atmosphere. It does not feel like an institution. It just has such a personal and cozy feeling. They do try to get him out to socialize. He does go out to eat in the common area at a table with other people and I think that was a big improvement for him just to have other people around him. The food is excellent there. They do have a mass there during the week. They have a beauty salon, laundry service, a library…

Wellington Place of Whiting was a great place but my sister has to be assessed first before they can figure out a price point. It was very, very nice and the people who gave us the tour were fabulous. I would recommend it to anyone. It's a beautiful place.

The care services were not good, but the staff members were very friendly. The meals were very good, but when it came to the activities it was fine for the women but not for the men. The value was not good for the cost and our loved one was only there for three weeks. There was also a big smell of urine in the hallways
