Westoaks is hands down the best choice. My brother is a long-term residence at Westoaks, and I've actually noticed the care from the new Administrator and staff has changed, better interaction with staff, more activities for residents to do. I visited West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab Center and I was really turned off by it. It didn't take me long to determine that that's not where I would put my aunt. First of all, the location is not good. It sits right on West Eight Mile Road and it's a really busy street. When I pulled into the parking lot and approached the entrance, there were residents sitting in their wheelchairs outside the front door smoking cigarettes, and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke.
