When my husband and I visit his mom at Westmont the flowers planted in front put a smile on our face. Inside is always very clean with a nice vibe of social interaction. Food is delicious and the staff is amazing.

PositiveEventful at Westmont of Santa Barbara
Costs are high like everywhere but Westmont is lower than many. Apartments are good size also, most are large studios and a few one bedrooms for couples. Pet policy is normal, currently there are 2 cats and several dogs living with their owners. Everything is kept clean with our great housekeeping staff. The lobby and dinning hall and bistro are much like a nice hotel. Many activities in fact I've heard we have more than most to choose from. PositiveWestmont is a lovely, well designed building. The rooms are surprisingly large , with very functional kitchenettes. Our guide, was delightful, and was easily able to answer any questions we had. We were very impressed by this senior living option.

I would say 4 stars. For several reasons. Very few places would qualify for a 5 (and would be much more expensive). That said Westmont of SB has a very friendly atmosphere, very welcoming by both residents and staff. For staff, they are very good. I'm talking about regular hired staff not temporary fill in agency staff (they have no clue sometimes). The staff when hired go thru training and shadowing as they learn resident care and daily needs. Quality of care basics are there and good but it would be good to alwa…
