Does your loved one need a lot of help? This is a decent place

Out of five facilities were my mom lived, white pine was the best. This is not to say there weren't issues. - food was horrible. Very rarely edible. - staff was 60/40 good. 60% cared and wanted to help. 40% were too busy or otherwise occupied to help. (This is much better than at other facilities) A few staff were simply outstanding (again many more than other facilities) - apartment was good. Nice space. This facility is one of the worse ones I have ever seen. My father lived there for 1 year and we could not wait to get him out of there. Which we did a few months ago. There are code violations in the kitchen and with the one elevator in the building. He would not get basic care timely, and would often have medication or health services given late to the point of causing medical complications. The staff would not show up to provide showers or other care as contracted for days or even weeks. The food was disgusting.…

My Mom has a smaller room, but we actually wanted that because it decreased her anxiety and falls risk Food is good, my Mom has special diet needs which the facility has been able to accommodate Staff are wonderful!!

85 and no A/C

A/C doesn't work. Thermostat says change batteries. I do it myself. Still no go. Tell the guy sitting playing catch with his ball(s) in the office. He tells me to track down the maintenance guy (who is gone for the day. I can barely walk but he's too busy to do it.

I was there a few times to visit a friend and the times I was there I had to search for staff and when I finally found one they were slow to respond. They were busy playing on their phones and eating. These were supposed to be assisted living....the only thing that was really assisted....was making her mind up to not live there!!! They helped my friend come to the conclusion after only 6 months she needed to go elsewhere. The food was cold and was not good and they gave you very little, the assisted part of living …

Good

My family member is happy there. She says they treat her good. She seems to be happy with the food. The only thing is she wants pop, and they don't supply pop. The facility itself is fine, and a lot better than where she was before. She's enjoys Bingo there. All these places are expensive, but the cost seems fair overall, especially compared to the last place.
