PositiveMy husband was a resident of Whitney Oaks Care Center. The place was clean, and I had a hard time getting feedback on his care because they're busy but I am fine with the actual care. The food was doable for his condition and it wasn't bad. I would have liked more regular briefings since I was there every day. They did a good job. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have cable TV. We've been in one room before and it's very cramped, but his room was more doable, more reasonable. Even though…

PositiveMy sister was placed at Whitney Oaks Care Center. It's a very nice place. I liked that when I first came in the door you must sign in. There's a machine and you have to sign in and put the person's name. Then I talked to the receptionist at the front desk, and they directed me to my sister's room and showed me where she was. I went in there and I talked to my sister. I also got a little look at the area, and where she was at is very clean and neat. The staff there are very nice, and they're…

CriticalMy mother-in-law stayed here for a little over a week. She said she was left in the room with no one coming to bathe her for days which was super shocking to us. She said she rang the bell for the nurses who ignored her mostly. They barely came by to check on her or see what she wanted. When I called they were very nice so this was surprising. Unfortunately, we had to get her out of there because she was so unhappy with how she said they treated her. One thing about my mother-in-law is she is a SUPER easygoing chil…

CriticalWhitney Oaks in Carmichael, Ca is the worst facility you can trust to take care of your loved ones. My Grandmother was in this facility for a month and experienced the worst by the nurses/staff members. My Grandmother described being left for hours in her room with a roommate that would scream all day/night and also being denied access to basic necessities. Who knows what else happens here behind our backs! No one believed my Grandmother until we were forced to bring her home only to find out there was evidence of …

PositiveMy brother is in Whitney Oaks Care Center, which is a small community. I like the staff, particularly the physical therapy and occupational therapy staff. Theres a variety of CAN levels of care; some are very good, some are average, but a small amount of them are not good, especially the night shift. The food is really good. They have a dietician and individualize each patient. The meal time could be arranged to depend on whether the resident would want to go to the dining room or if hed have it in his room. They…

CriticalMy 91yo father-in-law came to Whitney Oaks for post surgical rehab. He developed an infection ignored by doctors and staff and after three weeks a visitor— NOT staff — noticed he was in distress. He was rushed to hospital in Septic shock from a UTI and close to death. Please! Do not send a loved one to this nightmare of a facility.
