CriticalI have growing concerns about the care and living conditions at Windermere. There have been ongoing problems with laundry, communication, management responsiveness, maintenance, and food quality. His laundry continues to be an issue. Clothing is frequently returned late or goes missing altogether, and recently all of his pants were lost. When questions were asked about a reported fire in the laundry room, staff and management provided conflicting explanations, and the missing clothing still has not been resolved. …

Positivethey were very good to my mom in her final days. [name removed] and company get a plus from me. Everyone was great food was ok for a nursing home very clean only thing had a hard time getting a trash can.
★★★★★
CriticalOne staff member, [name removed], came across as very harsh and bossy, which made our experience more difficult. The food definitely needs improvement. We did not feel that the meals were healthy enough or appropriate for our mom’s needs. As for activities, we were not able to see a schedule, so we cannot fairly comment on how often or how well activities were provided.

PositiveThey are having some issues with the kitchen and food. My brother is in independent living so his food is delivered. It sometimes isn't warm. He is legally blind after the stroke so it is hard for him to reheat the food. Windemere is very good at responding to questions and issues. They are working on the kitchen issue. The facility itself is very clean and has many amenities. The apartments are larger than most I've seen. They are updated as well. They hold activities daily and work with the residents to help them…

PositiveThe care at Windemere is great. She is doing good and has full time nurses. Food is not so great. A couple of her items have come up missing. But they are doing a good job keeping mom out of the hospital, and I am grateful for that.

CriticalAwful!!! Poorly managed and that is reflected in the lack of patient care. Multiple concerns brought to the attention of director of nursing and administrator that were addressed in words only, no correction of issues. If you want to speak with the DON and / or administrator they can be found most days in the northeast corner of the parking lot smoking. Keep looking if you are looking for actual rehab.
