My mother is at this facility for rehabilitation after having a stroke. I am in Georgia and she has told me what a pleasure the staff is and that they have treated her as if she was their only patient. With me being so far away, I am more at ease knowing she is well cared for. She has said the food is good also. Today is actually her birthday and she sid that so many people there have made her birthday very special. They even brought her a gift from Dunkin Donuts.. Thank you all for everything you have done to make…

I visited this facility

Windward Gardens' setup for assisted living is one shared room with a shared bathroom and no kitchenette. My in-laws would not want to be in one small room. It's a much smaller community than the other place we saw, but the people were very nice. The rooms were smaller and most of them were shared. There are only a few options for private rooms. I thought it's a charming place with potential. It had a bird who get a lot of attention. This community allows dogs to come and visit, which is important fo…

Very nice meeting with Danielle, she is very knowledgeable and friendly. As for the facility, it is very clean however, it does need painting, new flooring and something done about the musty smell and lack of light. I found the people to be friendly, I am concerned about staffing levels. The cost is definitely very high for the environment and I would hesitate to place my loved ones or friends there.

We were able to choose Windward Gardens because they were the ones that had an opening at that time. I found everything really nice. It was very clean and the people are just wonderful. The rooms have very good size with a huge bathroom. They have an open kitchen for snacks 24 hours a day.

My grandmother had had multiple falls before she ended up going to Windward Gardens in Camden, Maine. At first she was not excited about this and, with the generation she grew up with, felt we were "committing" her. I'd say that within about a week she had grown to love it there. The staff was always so warm and welcoming and she quickly found that she had found a new home and group of friends. Their shuttle bus made her capable of continuing to go on shopping trips and going to church "“ but no…
