The owner [name removed]and those who work there. I couldn't have asked for better care for my Mother. Additionally, this facility was fairly close to my home. The home is not fancy but it is clean and [name removed] works very hard to insure her patients are happy and well cared for. She also works well with the different hospice companies to get the best treatment for her patients

The Woodcrest Home For Senior Citizens is a well-maintained, older home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally friendly, demonstrating genuine care and attention to each individual. Activities are thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique abilities and interests of each client. Overall, we highly recommend this facility for individuals with dementia who require 24-hour care.

CriticalStarted out great— turned out to be hell
My original post [date removed] was true at that time, but over the past several months I can say it all had changed. Currently they are working with very little staff, some are having to work double shifts and having to sleep during their overnight shift. The owner is aware of that, but doesn’t do anything about it. Not everyone is licensed to handle food and serve food, but that doesn’t stop them. Not really the cleanest place. All I can say is run, don’t consider placing your loved one here. You will definitel…

Overall, much better experience for mom. We get regular text updates (BP/oxygen etc). In the larger commercial facility she was in, she often stayed in her room alone and in pajamas. Here, she is dressed and in the main living area every day and interacts with other residents. The meals are home cooked, not fancy but good and much better than cafeteria style meals. I visit 1-2 times a week and have met several other family members.
