Review for Woodland Terrace

The independent living experience was very good. Lots of activities, well kept, attentive staff. The assisted living experience was not great. They weren't able to successfully meet my mother's needs. Their proposed solution to bridge the gap between what they could deliver and the care she needed was to make us pay for a sitter - which is extremely expensive. We ended up moving her to a group home setting which has been much better. I wish I knew of this option sooner. It would have saved us a lot of grief.

I visited this facility

We're on a waiting list at Woodland Terrace. It fits our needs better than anything else. We had quite a few conditions, and that one worked out the best. It's a lively place. It's 25 years old, but it doesn't look that way. The staff during the tour was the best we have seen so far among all the facilities we saw. He was very helpful. They have a swimming pool. There were activities going on when we were going around.

Would recommend it

The staff was awesome! My mom was in the hospital a couple times, and it would have been nice if somebody had called me to ask me how she was doing. Maybe they don't do that? She had to go to rehab 3 weeks before she passed away and unfortunately no one called me then either to see how she was doing.

I visited this facility

Woodland Terrace was very nice. There was an independent home that was available, but it didn't meet our needs, it wasn't large enough. The lady there was very good, the information she has given and her response to any questions was excellent. Their activity schedule was pretty good. However, we were pretty much looking for luxury accommodations, and they did not have luxury accommodations. It was an older facility and so it didn't meet our needs. It was nice and clean.
