Review for Woodland Terrace

The independent living experience was very good. Lots of activities, well kept, attentive staff. The assisted living experience was not great. They weren't able to successfully meet my mother's needs. Their proposed solution to bridge the gap between what they could deliver and the care she needed was to make us pay for a sitter - which is extremely expensive. We ended up moving her to a group home setting which has been much better. I wish I knew of this option sooner. It would have saved us a lot of grief.

Would recommend it

The staff was awesome! My mom was in the hospital a couple times, and it would have been nice if somebody had called me to ask me how she was doing. Maybe they don't do that? She had to go to rehab 3 weeks before she passed away and unfortunately no one called me then either to see how she was doing.

Independent living excellent, assisted living careless

Our parent lived in independent living for over 10 years and was quite happy. Overall we were very pleased with the community services and management in independent living. Sadly, during Covid our parent sustained a fall requiring relocation to Assisted Living. In Assisted Living, staff very strict about level of care and will absolutely not manage any feeding that does not take place in dining room .
