PositiveI became familiar with 10 Wilmington Place a few years ago, when my godmother moved there. She had an apartment in independent living, then when she needed it, she moved to assisted living and then finally, to memory care. She was treated with dignity and respect in all three living arrangements. As friends and family, we felt that she was in a safe environment. When my brother needed a place, we reached out to A Place For Mom and they had 10 Wilmington Place on their list. My brother knew that I held 10 Wilmingto…

PositiveMy father was recently diagnosed with dementia, and moved to 10 Wilmington which we correctly identified as a safe, welcoming new home with most of the in-house care he needs, and options for increased care as his conditions progress. The administrative and healthcare staffs are both terrific -- attentive, communicate well with out-of-state family members, and graciously accommodate special requests/needs. It's been an excellent experience for dad, and our whole family. The apartments are beautiful, and the whole f…

Positive...of one's life always feels momentous even in the most ordinary of circumstances, and becoming a resident of a retirement community is no different. 10 Wilmington Place offers a quite commendable opportunity to be a part of something both comfortable and comforting. Being one of the new kids on the block, I'm not really qualified to go into details that I haven't discovered yet, but I can tell you that the overall experience here at #10 has been very positive, very welcoming and friendly on the part of both the s…

Positive1.) The facility as a whole was very nice. It had a look of elegance throughout the building. My mother's room had a living room, bedroom, kitchen & bath which altogether were sizable and accommodated her needs as well as her guests. 2.) On the other hand, despite the excellent appearances I sometimes found the upkeep and maintenance lacking. There was supposed to be a housekeeper once/week but when some glitter got spilled from a card my Mom received it wasn't swept up for at least a couple weeks. As for maintena…

PositivePlace has a very nice environment. The room is spacious and has a good floor plan with ample kitchen amenities. There are a multitude of activities available, but unfortunately my Mom is unable to take advantage of any. The friendliness of the staff is mixed - some very warm, but others somewhat detached. The food is pretty standard institutional quality, but since Mom is eating like a bird it makes little difference. Some of the administrative functions are problematic - like having no clear idea as to who should …

Positive10 Wilmington Place is the third place we tried for our father who suffers from dementia. When he lost his wife two years ago he could no longer live at home alone. We first tried around the clock care but realized he was too isolated. We then tried an assisted living facility in New Hampshire where he felt anxious and alone most of the time. We then moved him to [removed] and where he lived for almost a year. We had to move him from there because they didn't have an activities director for nine months resulting in…
