I visited this facility

My husband will be moving into Aegis of Lynnwood. During my visit I considered the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and the amount of activities that they have for the patients. We can see the staff interact with the patients who were already there; everybody knows the names, and just walking down the hall, they're greeted by name. Very friendly. It's all very well organized. A lot of how we felt came from how we interacted with the management.

Overall we are happy

The facility is dated. There is no AC, although they encourage residents to get portable units. The staff is very kind to my mom and take good care of her. It is more expensive than the other places we looked at but it is well staffed and I think the only have 35 units or something like that so they are very responsive. Overall we are happy.

Satisfied

The staff is friendly and very kind to my mom. The facility is well located. The food is very good, and that's very important to people who live there. There are plenty of activities and mom is encouraged to participate. The facility is dated and small. It's more expensive than most others that we looked at. There is no air conditioning, although they do encourage portable AC, which we did, but mom has trouble remembering to use it. They have a very liberal policy with respect to assisted living vs memory care. Tha…

Excellent personal care and activities but a few drawbacks

The staff were very kind to my mom and always ready to help her or accommodate her requests. The food was okay but starchy without a lot of protein or fresh fruit/vegetables. Her room was small and dated. We did not get to see it due to the pandemic but it was nothing like the room I was shown a few weeks before the lock down. We asked for a room change, especially since mom did not like her suite partner, but were not allowed to move her. They have great activities and activities staff. It is over-priced. They ch…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandmother lives at the Aegis of Lynnwood. They have a courtyard with all grassy areas and a garden. I've been to their outdoor area to visit her most recently during COVID, and it was very nice. The staff members are doing a fine job. She has a very nice room, but she's almost 100, so she had to downsize to a studio. She used to have a room off of the courtyard. She had a patio that went out into their center courtyard area, and it was very nice. They have lots of activities, they post pictures, and …

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

the leadership is solid. It appears as if they are focused on maintaining high standards with the facility and Fed/state requirements. The staff is incredibly friendly and caring. Everyone I've met is committed to delivering quality customer care. The one issue my mom complains the most about is the food. Two things, not enough protein and such very bland taste. Aegis might want to put some low sodium seasoning on the table. Also, the blinds covering the sliders of the first floor residents are cheap. Currentl…
