PositiveI have been happy with my mom being able to have her own apartment. The staff, keep it clean. My Mom seems to be happy attending the activities and has been making new friends. She has been receiving the assistance that she needs and would have not been getting this at home. As she needs assistance with her Inc. And changing her clothes. Also she wasn't able to prepare her meals . This has been a heavy load lifted off of me. The staff has been friendly and helpful. My mom was reluctant to leave her home, but she w…

PositiveI liked the homey and friendly atmosphere of Ahva Living of East Dubuque. It's not like a clinic. The rooms are nice sized and nicely designed. It looks like the staff is very outgoing and friendly, and the residents were also quite friendly.

CriticalMy brother [name removed] started there in memory care in [date removed], slowly graduated to independent care, and then left the facility in [date removed]. All of the staff were very helpful, courteous, respectful. Cleanliness of the place was average as was the food. Considering there are/were very few options available when we were trying to move [name removed]from a horrible facility in Cedar Rapids, Ahva in East Dubuque was a God-send at the time we needed it. and considering where his health health was in th…

PositiveWe toured Ahva Living of East Dubuque. It went well. It seems like a very clean and friendly place and family-oriented. They also have very spacious rooms with a full kitchen and bathroom. The staff was very friendly and polite. We did not have a meal there, but my brother had eaten there before. That food was fine. The place was very clean. It's winter so the outdoor space wasn't the loveliest right now but they had a courtyard and a place where they eat.

PositiveMy mom moved into Ahva Living of East Dubuque. I think she's getting good attention to her care. They're doing everything they can to help her. My mom has a private room. They've been very accommodating. The rooms have a good amount of space. Everybody has a private bathroom. It's clean. They do art drawings and paintings. They take trips to Walmart. They have a hairdresser that comes in. When I've been over there, the nurse techs have been fixing my mom's hair and painting her fingern…

PositiveOur tour to Ahva Living of East Dubuque was good. We toured the memory care and the staff was good. They just didn't have a whole heck of a lot. It was more living than anything. They didn't have any gym, but they had a community room where they have activities, that kind of stuff. It was very clean. The bedroom size was fine. They provide shuttle service and they take the residents to movies and doctors' appointments.
