The facility was nice. Clean cheerful and the residents seemed happy. The room was sufficient and could work. Provided services seem to be patient centered and for their best interests

I would highly recommend to others.

I would give them 5 on all categories. It has a very homey feel. I love the big open "living area"that is the lobby area. It's a good space for big groups or small groups to congregate. I like the layout of the facility. It's not confusing to navigate for a senior who gets confused by too many hallways or paths. Staff and residents are very friendly. What we like the most about the community is that the staff are very kind, considerate, an compassionate as well as professional. Based on the experience so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Do not recommend

Some of the staff is very friendly but the facility seems under staffed. Dad wasn't in the Advanced Care building, but the title is deceiving. The staff struggled to keep up with the needs of the residents. Certain staff members were seen sitting with cell phone in hand while others did the best they could. I would not recommend them to others.

A Good Place to send Loved Ones Who Need Extra Help

We were happy with American House. The staff is friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the nurse. They kept me informed of any issues.

Definitely a wider variety of activities. They also need to have special meals for holidays and host family nights. They lack in variety of food offered. A lot of soup and sandwiches for dinner and fish a lot. They charge to much for what you get. It is kept clean and the rooms are nice.
