American House Kentwood

American House Kentwood is a very nice. The community we choose was just above and beyond both communities we looked at. American house was my second choice, a little bit smaller community and my loved one wanted something bigger.

Great Place to Be

I looked at other places, and this one was clean and had no smell. They catered to my loved ones needs.

Our family had an in person tour and the sales team was just way to push, it was not the nest experience

Our loved ones stay was short but the overall experience was excellent. The staff members were super nice and they had assigned one care taker to our loved one during her stay that really took care of all of her needs - we were very impressed. They were putting new carpets in the facility and doing updates which was nice. The apartment was bright and cheery and they did have some activities but she was just not there long enough to really settle in

I did not like this community at all. It felt like a nursing home and a jail. They had community bathrooms and it was not what I would have found as independent living. They were also priced very high for what was being given. This community also did not seem clean and it was also very dated.

A wonderful, past due review to write

My mother was a resident at AH Kentwood until she passed away in April 2018. Sadly she was only there for 14 months. She was in the Riverstone Bldg in memory care. From the moment we made contact to her final breath this was truly a fabulous place. The staff was very accessible. I lived out of town and the team was great in keeping me up to date about my mom. She was as happy there as she would have been anywhere. We made a donation of something in error, [name removed] (the now ex-executive director) is no longer …
