Some staff are excellent, compassionate and caring. With that being said we were not happy with our time there for my dad. The healthcare management seemed very unorganized with poor communication within the team. Heard many times they were understaffed or “short handed” My dad was a WWII vet, the VA can be slow, and I’m sure that’s frustrating, so planning ahead was required for supplies, meds etc. We found very few of the sanitary supplies that the VA provided actually made it to my dad and sometimes found him in…

Mom moved to Arbor Oaks of Andover We chose this place for her because of the location. She's only ten minutes from my house. She has a studio in the memory care and it's OK. It's not big but it has everything that she needs. They've got a beauty salon, a lunch room, an outdoor area, a community room and there's a chaplain there. The food is pretty good. Some of the staff are good. The others are not so good. It's so expensive but it's worth every penny that we're paying.

Arbor Oaks Senior Living didn't have any openings for memory care, but they seemed really good. The facility was very clean and up to date. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It was a very nice place. They try to get the residents to do the crafts, have interactions with each other, card games, reading, puzzles, and fitness activities to keep them busy. My mother loves living here. She is happy and cared for. They have a lot of activities for all and the staff treats us with respect. My mother is well taken care of. The place is bright and staff friendly. It's great to walk in and see them interacting with the residents. They have church service, a hairdresser that comes in. The rooms were nice and big with refrigerator and freezer..

High Rent

Gives discounted rent rates to move in and then large rent increases every 6 months. Mom had to scrub her own toilet in between cleanings. Carpet in building used to be cleaned at least 1-2 times a month - have not been cleaned in over 2 years. Will falsify medical symptoms to be transferred to ER and then refuse to take resident back.
