The Farmstead was very good. The menus looked good. They had individual rooms and they had full size kitchens. The stove was tiny, but in the memory care the stove was unplugged. It would feel more like home in a real kitchen, but they just can't cook in there because they don't want anything that produces heat that they could start a fire. However, if their family would like to come and have dinner with them and maybe bring a hot dish and heat it up in the oven, then the staff would come and plug the ove…

The Farmstead was a gorgeous place. We loved it. It's brand new and was very beautiful. It was my mother-in-law's favorite place that we visited. The staff was very warm, welcoming, understanding, and non-pushy. They were very, very nice. The apartments were gorgeous, too. They got all these windows overlooking a beautiful field with horses and a farm (which was just right next door). I will be moving into The Farmstead. I toured them, and I like the way the director presented it. The building itself was very well appointed, the painting, the colors and the layout were very, very good. The choice of the apartment was great. I think it's going to be a good fit. With Covid, I didn't get a chance to communicate much with anyone except the director there, one of the maintenance people, and the chapel representative. They're very friendly. We visited The Farmstead. It was awesome. It was very clean, it was big, and I like the layout. They have a choice of three different rooms. The efficiency was just one room, but it had a small kitchenette, which was fine. Then they had a small one-bedroom apartment and then they had a two-bedroom type thing. We looked at the one-bedroom and the efficiency. However, once my mother-in-law's money runs out, she'll have to go on the elderly waiver, and they couldn't guarantee a spot because each county …

The Farmstead is expensive, but very clean and strict, which is good. There's somebody scrubbing the floor all the time and they're wiped every day. There's a huge amount of services and the staff is very good. The dining area is very clean. The food smells really good.

We have been residents at The Farmstead for a year and a half. Though we are in independent-living, we know assisted-living and memory-care residents. Our personal experience and that of the people we know is that by all measures, The Farmstead is a top-quality senior-living environment. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is top notch.
