THE ARBORS, Memory CARE IN RENO NV mom moved into The Arbors in [year removed]. I live out of state; my sibling lives in Reno. In [date removed] I visited, they forgot to bring mom her lunch. Arbors is a welcoming community! A very special group of people providing a warm and caring environment. Moving my mom to memory care has been the most difficult thing I have ever had to go through. But the people at Arbors, every time I am there make it a little easier. They interact well with the residents, they acknowledge them and show respect to them. The people are the place!! As a retired professional from the health care industry, I'm a huge critic of care facilities catering to seniors and dementia patients. There was a time when I would have struggled with recommending this place but now I will recommend it to anyone who has a family member or friend in need of memory care. The staff are wonderful. It was the hardest thing I had to do to put my husband in memory care. He has problems and they work with him. They are very kind to me also. He has a nice room an d they take very good care of him. I am so glad he is in a safe place.

IF I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW, NO WAY!

I will say RUN, don’t walk AWAY! My Mom hated it there and would always tell me she would never come back to that place again! I moved her to another memory care facility and she hasn’t said that about the new place once and loves it! Some of the caregivers were good, some just liked to hide in supply rooms or other areas of Arbor’s. Most days it was almost impossible to see someone in the common areas supervising the elderly.
