We just finished our first year here. We absolutely love it here. The floor plans are designed well. No unusable space. We planted a garden and are enjoying fresh tomatoes and zucchini. Pet friendly. Staff are professional and friendly. No problems if you meet the terms of your lease. Staff are here to keep things running smoothly, not to be your friends.

Don't Believe Everything You are Told During the Tour

We received one story when we toured, and in reality experienced something different upon move-in. For example, the family room, we were told was available on a first come basis, unless we wanted to rent it exclusively for an event. We selected the apartment we did because of its proximity to the family room and our desire to spend the little time left with family as much as possible (time is very limited due to a liver cancer diagnosis). If you are late they hit you with high late fees, a 3 day notice to vacate and a bump in your rent. They don't care what your circumstances are. They don't have a heart.

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Their fees and contracts are not renter friendly. They have no compassion and don't work with you if you are late with rent or utilities. They charge high rates and late fees if you are late. They are vague in explaining the extras such as, covered parking, etc. They don't explain that this is an extra charge until after you move in and ask. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We chose Avalon Senior Living Apartments because the price was very reasonable. It has a very nice exercise room, a library, a social gathering room, a games room, and an outside picnic area for barbecue. The corridors are really wide. The apartments are nice and spacious with fully equipped kitchens, and there's space for a washer and dryer. The staff seems really nice, helpful, and pleasant. They don't have too many organized activities though.

We moved in about a month ago, and we LOVE this place. Lovely views, well-laid out, quality throughout. It is priced and designed for older people, and the staff is so friendly, we feel like we are friends. Plenty of activity if you want it, like movie day, exercise room, various group get-togethers.
