I cannot recommend Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound for memory care under any circumstances. My father experienced repeated neglect and unsafe conditions that placed his health, dignity, and safety at risk. His room and bathroom were rarely cleaned—his bathroom was often filthy, and I do not believe his shower was ever properly cleaned during his nine months there. I frequently had to clean it myself. Moved parent into Avanti after a glowing review, excellent tour, and management made a great sale. In less than 30 days, the honeymoon was over and real Avanti showed itself. Since being here, my parent has been to the ER twice for various injuries. When we return from hospital, Avanti staff provided no assistance in the recovery. My mother-in-law moved into Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound. She is in assisted living, but when we checked out assisted living places we also made sure to look at memory care, because she'll eventually go to memory care. What I really like about Avanti's assisted living is that my mother-in-law was able to get a room with a little private patio. Avanti is a beautiful facility. They admitted my husband right away (on a weekend) to get him out of a bad rehab place. They allowed him to stay in a respite room until I could get furniture in. That was most appreciated. No other facility was able to do that.
