Recommend this place but make sure it is the right fit

Looking back I should have paid more attention to the residents there and if they were in need of the same level of care. This was my first time dealing with this issue and didn't think it was a problem. Mom doesn't have many people to talk to there because they are more advanced. Overall, the facility is great though.

Family atmosphere. Very comfortable immediately when you walk it. Clean. Fresh meals. Friendly staff. Good client to staff ratio.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We moved my mom in after living in another memory facility. The difference is night and day. Everything is kept very clean, the staff is friendly and consistent and management is very responsive to questions or concerns. The rooms are nice and the open living concept helps with socialization for residents. Nothing is going to be perfect, but Avilacare comes very close.

My mom has been happy living in her facility and spacious room! Last night we took a stroll around the backgrounds which were lit with Christmas lights and lanterns. She throughly enjoyed our time together! During the week she has activities and crafts to participate in as she usually does. She is currently participating in PT and OT at the present time. Meal times are very important and socializing time is a time she looks forward too!

We didn’t have to worry

We were impressed with Avila Care the second we walked in the door. Had a very homelike feel. Fresh cooked meals, attentive staff, very clean - just overall very friendly. My mom stayed there for 10 days for respite care. It was an excellent experience! We highly recommend, and will use their services again if needed.

My husband moved into AvilaCare Assisted Living and Memory Care of Heath. The staff has been very friendly and kind, and they do their best to please. They have nice rooms. The community dining area and the kitchen, you can look in on it as they prepare the food. The food is pretty good, as well. My husband would go down and watch ball games with them sometimes, and he painted pumpkins with the guys.
