PositiveEverything about Barton Woods Assisted Living was nice. There wasn't anybody off in a corner by themselves. I saw lots of people around. Rooms are private with baths. They've got something going all the time and they've got a bunch of students from Saginaw Valley that help out with that. They have a beauty salon, a billiard room, and a game room. They also have two courtyards that are gated. I liked it.

PositiveMy Aunt lived at Barton Woods. She was diagnosed with dementia and the staff were extremely patient and caring, despite how difficult she was to work with. She was always clean and well groomed. She seemed to like the food that was served and the staff did a great job of including her in the activities despite her inability to actively participate.

CriticalMy mother-in-law is living in Barton Woods. It has some really noisy spots but the layout is fine. The place is clean, not bad-smelling and no odors. They're a little understaffed and the services are not as accommodating as I would like to see them. The food is awful but the dining area is passable. PositiveThe rooms are nice and big; they are roomy. The staff is wonderful, they take good care of my mom, and they are very friendly and very accommodating. The place is very clean. I haven't eaten there myself, but I have been there with my mother, and she seems to like it. I think there was one dinner that she wasn’t real crazy about, but she hasn't complained about it.
